Edward didnt stop to talk to anyone when he walked in the front door of his home. I'm usually a decent student in potions. Add in the fact that I'm Professor Snape's favorite student, and it's obvious that I get good grades in that class. But even I occasionally make mistakes - perfect though I am - and this was a rather huge one. Even Snape wasn't sure how I'd messed up the potion, but it was very clear I'd messed it up as bad as I possibly could.
"I'm going to have to give you detention for this, Draco," Snape said quietly, as the other students gathered there things and walked out of the dungeon. I expected some sort of punishment when Snape told me to stay after class - I figured it would be a matter of house points.
